Scheduled Maintenance

What runs during a maintenance window

Each scheduled maintenance run executes the following steps in order:

1. Ping — Collects system health: CPU, memory, and disk usage
2. Get Logs — Pulls the last 100 Windows Event Log entries (errors & warnings)
3. Check Updates — Scans for pending Windows updates
4. Check Backup — Verifies backup status (Windows Backup / IDrive)
5. Run Updates — Only if critical or important updates are found, installs them automatically
6. Reboot — Only if a reboot is required after updates, schedules a reboot with 60-second warning
